Ocean View Academy provides an enriched learning environment that has helped countless families find a warm, nurturing atmosphere for their children. Our Hermosa location
serves children ages 2-6 years old. Our Redondo location serves children 6 weeks- 6 years old. The Preschool is located in Hermosa and Redondo Beach and reflects the diverse backgrounds and cultures of the area. We are extremely proud of our students and staff, who are always eager to learn, create and grow together.
We offer enrichment programs such as gymnastics and sports provided by Funtime. All of our classrooms offer a dual immersion spanish program, where children engage in curriculum in both english and spanish.
We have a catered lunch program from Healthy Kids. Healthy Kids provides home made, healthy lunch options.
The centers are open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm with options for full time and part time care.

Infants
Step into a warm, nurturing environment where your baby is known, loved, and thoughtfully cared for each day. Our Infant Program at Ocean View Academy is designed to provide a safe, responsive space where little ones can grow, explore, and thrive at their own pace.
We understand that the first year of life is filled with incredible development. That’s why our experienced caregivers focus on building strong, secure attachments while supporting early milestones in movement, communication, and social-emotional growth. Through gentle routines, sensory play, music, tummy time, and one-on-one interaction, we foster curiosity and confidence from the very beginning.
Our classroom is intentionally designed to stimulate developing senses with soft textures, engaging visuals, and age-appropriate materials that encourage exploration. We prioritize individualized schedules for feeding, sleeping, and play to ensure each baby’s needs are met with care and consistency.
In our Infant Program, learning begins with love. By creating a calm, responsive, and enriching environment, we lay the foundation for future learning while giving families peace of mind knowing their little one is safe, supported, and celebrated every day.
Three Year Olds
Teachers at Ocean View Academy will go out of their way to engage their students and inspire them to inquire and learn. This class gives our students a chance to apply their unique skills and expand their horizons by learning something new. Our enriched curriculum is designed to develop important skills that are the foundation for literacy, mathematical thinking and problem solving while stimulating your child's creativity. At Ocean View Academy, our emergent curriculum combines our Math, Language and Literacy Programs with Kindergarten Readiness activities that are based on the best early childhood standards from across the nation.
Two Year Olds
Enroll in this hands-on, innovative class and take part in a unique, challenging learning experience. Our qualified and skilled teachers serve as facilitators in the course, guiding students through exploring and individual learning. This program inspires your child to examine, create, and to share as he or she broadens his or her language through interactions with teachers and classmates in a safe, nurturing environment. Sensory and repetitive activities transform these new experiences into knowledge. The curriculum focuses on language arts and literacy, mathematics, social science and emotional development, as well as character education. Through learning centers and age appropriate curriculum, our Sea Horses have the ability to work at their own pace and learn to do tasks independently.
TK & Pre K
Dive right into class with one of our expert teachers. Our goal as educators is to spur our students’ curiosity and allow them to learn at their own pace. The curriculum in this class at Ocean View Academy is specifically designed to meet the child care and learning needs of our future Kindergartners. This challenging, fun and age appropriate program engages the whole child, helping to hone thinking, reasoning and communicating. Kindergarten readiness is so important that we have designed our program to help your child make significant developmental gains, like communicating successfully and working well both independently and in groups. The children participate in projects, gardening, recycling and homework. They are introduced to a phonics program called Zoo Phonics and are able to explore writing with a Handwriting Without Tears program.
